Can I use stamps or do I have to use First Class Postage?

About to send out my first few requests! It looks like most people on here just put plain ol' Forever stamps on their envelopes. But, according to USPS's website, 8x10 envelopes aren't covered by stamps, you have to print and tape postage on...
So, what's up? Are the people I see in these forums using smaller envelopes? Or does the mailman just not care?

Neither, you're just making **** up.
Any package, be it box or envelope, within the PO's standard sizing limits can be sent with postage stamps as long as it's under 13oz.
Even beyond 13 oz, it gets fuzzy as to whether or not you can still use stamps if you mail it from the retail counter at the PO.

I have never heard about having to use the po printed stuckers. That sounds crazy!
You would need to research how much it will cost but as long as you put enough stamps on it, you can mail it from home (as long as its under 13oz).

You can mail it from home regardless--they're asking if they have to print a label or not.
