Well, try to go to some TV tapings. I have never been to one, so I am not sure if they have an autograph session type thing but you can definatly see some celebrities. These can include Live With Regis and Kelly, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Good Morning America, Today, maybe even TRL. All of these depend on your age though. If you want some help finding info on these thing let me know and I can help you. For some though it might be too late, but thats not likely. I went to NBC studios and they wanted to give me tickets for that nights Jay Leno, but I wan't old enough. Try going to a Hard Rock Cafe, or Planet Hollywood, places where stars may be. Also try Broadway. I know recently a lot of stars have been in many Broadway productions. Everything depends on timing. I thought when I went to California I was going to see at least one star with the schedule I had, but I didn't see one (except the movie premieres but I wasn't able to get an autograph)! It's all luck. Good luck on finding stars and I will be happy to help you find some information on those tv tapings, or answer any other questions you may have!
Kelly

thanks

I know this is too late but for anyone else who is going to NY in the future...
It's really hard to get celebs at talk shows if you actually attend the talk show because they come in while you're standing in line indoors, and they may leave while you are still sitting in the studio. If you're lucky you can get them coming in and out of the studio. Letterman's guests are known to stop and sign autographs. After SNL, you can catch the cast coming out of the studios too.
The best way to go is definitely stage doors at plays. Usually after a show has ended is the best time, because they may feel rushed before hand. It's not really play season, though. You'd do much better in the spring when they premiere.
As far as just randomly spotting people...Central Park is always a good place to hang out. My mom is always spotting soap stars. Celebs live all over the place, and you'll do best if you're in a residential area, not walking around Times Square. They are NOT hanging out at Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe. Those are the tourist traps celebs avoid at all costs!
