No IRC's =(

So yesterday and today I went to about 3 post office's and none of them sells/has IRC's.. The 2nd said that I should check the other one because that one ran out.. So I went to the 3rd one and they said that they do not sell IRC's anymore because not a lot of people are using them so they stopped...

They told me to send a dollar bill in the mail instead of IRC's.. =/ Uhh... Yeah..

So my question is, is there anything else to use instead of IRC's or money? (i am sending to Canada for Hairspray) Because if I send money, I doubt someone would leave the movie set just to go buy a canadian/us post stamp or whatever..

If I do have to use money, how much do you suggest I send? I'm thinking $2.. I looked on the "International Postal Cost" thread but I don't know how many grams my envelope would weigh.

I DO know that it's about 8.5 x 11 or 8x10 and I'm only going to send a letter, something for them to sign, money, and an SAE.

Thanks! I hope you guys understood what I said =/

I've never sent IRC's before, so I don't know too much about them.

If you decide to send money, I think $2 would probably cover it.

Hi Emiley :D

You can try to ask the post office if they can order some IRC's in for you (or try another post office!).

Additionally, if you can - try and get a hold of some Canadian stamps (e.g. through eBay).

However, if you would like send cash - make sure you conceal it really well ... because you don't want it stolen or returned to you. $2 or $3 should cover the costs.

Good luck!

I doubt my mom would let me ask them to order IRC's for me and I'm only 13 so I can't really.. Buy stuff on ebay! Haha.

Hm ok so $2-3.. Thank you for all the replies! Wish me luck

It´s the same problem that we have.
Ok, you can write a letter saying that in your city there aren´t IRC´s, so, you send the envelope.

And we also sent in 2 times (on Europe), 0.50 cents :)

Well if you can't get hold of them why not try explaining in the letter that you can't get them from around where you live. I have a simler problem you see I am only 13 too, and well lets just say I'm not the best when it comes to money and normally just about have enough for envalopes after using my mums stamps! So why not just try and explain, I'm sure they'll understand your problem.

(My mum won't let me use ebay either, well not after what one of my friends managed to do on it! LOL)

Wow, thanks for all the responses! Looks like I'm not the only one, haha. Anyways if I put in $2-3 I'll probably get it from my mom.. Haha.

If I put a note saying "There is no IRC's around where I live, so I included $2-3 for postage" on an index card or a regular piece of paper, so they don't lose it or drop it on accident?
