How big should the SASE be in when sending one with a letter?

I usually use A5 ish envelopes. I've only had one picture back thats been bigger than that, and on that occassion they used their own envelope anyway.

Somethig around a 9x12 inch envelope should be good, as it will hold almost any size photo. If the celeb want to send something bigger; they will probably supply a larger envelope.

I use A5 or smaller envelopes. It depends who I am sending to.

If it is a soap star, then a smaller one as the photos they have are small.

But if I do not know what size the picture will be, then A5.

It really depends on the situation.

When you send out something for the celebrity to sign, just make sure that the envelope you send will fit the item you want signed (e.g. a 6x4 photo will fit in a regular envelope).

If you are requesting a photo, the best bet is to send a 9x12 envelope as it will fit any larger sized photo etc.

Also, remember to include the right amount of postage to have your SAE returned to you.

That's not a dumb question at all

An A5 piece of paper (148x210 mm or 5.8x8.3 inches) is half of a regular A4 piece of paper (210 x 297 mm or 8.3x11.7 inches.) As such, you're looking for an envelope about 150x230 mm or 6x9 inches minimum.
