envelope size

Unread post by Layla »

I've read here a couple times now that envelope size should be normal 8X10 or 9X12, is that normal because mine here is 9 1/2X4 1/4

I guess my question should be what size photo's are they sending out?

Does anyone know if Wentworth Miller signs his own or does his sister?

Ditto. I also use 9x12. 9x12's are good to use as SASE's because these envelope's can hold all sizes of photo's. For example, if you print up your own photo's online to send to some celebrities, most printer photo paper sold is around 8.5x11. So, a 9x12 is able to hold all sizes of photo's from 4x6's up to 8.5x11.

I also use 12.5x9.25 cardboard envelopes to send my SASE's in.

[agree] with ChemicalsXreacT and Eugene :D

Unless you're sending out your own photos (in which you will only need a SAE/SASE big enough for the photos) it's recommended that you send out a 9x12 inch SAE/SASE as it will fit almost any sized photo.

Let's just say that I have never seen a 9x12 pic but as I mentioned in my previous post above, 8.5x11 is a common photo size for photo paper which is sold at stores such as Circuit City, Wal-Mart, et al. So if you print out your own pictures which will usually be 8.5x11, a 9x12 envelope is a must.

The largest that most celebrities send out is 8x10 but you never know if a celebrity uses 8.5x11 so a 9x12 envelope will save your a lot of headaches.

how much shipping should I put on there?

has anyone gotten a letter back from Wentworth Miller? Or just a pic?

Well, I would advise you to goto your local post office when shipping out SASE's because the cost of postage is determined by weight.

For a 9X12 with a leter on lined paper, SASE, and a picture if you have one, or even not a picture.. 2 first class stamps should be enough.. thats a good amount of postage.. Its always worked for me.. but if you are sending many pictures or expecting many back, use 3 on the envelope there and 3 on the SASE

if you are sending something hefty like a Christmas Card, but you dont want it back.. and also sending a letter,SASE, and picture, Is say 3 stamps on the envelope to the celeb and only 2 on the SASE ( to save money )

Good luck!
