Since you said that you are going to send an SASE with your letter, I wouldn't worry about having to send a picture as well.
But if you have a picture that you want to send, go ahead and send it.

Some celebritys will send you their own picture even if you enclude your own.

I hope I was some help.
Best wishes on your letters.

some celebs will send you a PP if you don't include a picture for them to sign.

Hi all, {up}

I agree with Dubsbball14 and Mimmi. Don't worry about sending a picture unless there is something you really want the celeb to sign. In my experience you do not stand any more chance of getting a pre-print if you don't include your own photo.

Any celebrity worth their salt has their own photos to send out. In fact, if you send a picture you can in some cases be more likely to get a pre-print back.

Most agents (who tend to deal with 99% of the fan mail) have a stack of pre-signed photos from their clients which they send out on their behalf. When I say pre-signed I mean original autographs (not pre-prints)but photos signed in bulk, maybe 1000 at a time, and left with the agent.

If you send your own photo, this has to be forwarded by the agent to the client to be signed as a "special". More often than not this is not feasible and the unsigned picture is returned to you.

I work in TV and find it much quicker and easier to send out my own photos / signed merchanise than have to negotiate the delivery and return of personal items! Although we all try to accommodate personal items, the workload for these is 100 times greater, especially when you're busy!

Hope this helps!

There are some celebrities that will send a pre-print unless you send something to sign. Generally most do have their own pictures though.
I would definitley recommend sending a picture if you are sending to a venue as I have found that to be better.

I usually send pictures, especially as sometimes I ask for one made out to me and one to my sister.

Hi Emma, {up}

I agree with you with regard to via venue. This is one time when you are advised to send your own photo if you particularly want a photo back.

I have found that on the whole, when I write to celebs in theatre shows in the West End I usually get back signed programmes or posters. So if you don't want these - include a photo!
