It doesn't matter what size envelope you send your fanmail in :D

Ditto. Any size envelope will do but I advise all people to use 9x12 sized envelopes as an SASE because these envelopes can hold all sizes of photo & some celebrities such as Stephen J. Cannell sent 8.5x11 size photo's which can't fit in a 8x10 envelope.
