1st class stamps - Need help from UK members

I have a little question...

I plan to buy stamps online from royalmail.com but I noticed that 44p stamps can only be ordered in packs of 100 stamps (which is too much, I don't need that many).

But you can buy 1st class stamps (12) for about £4.

I wonder, can I use a 1st class stamp instead of 44p on my SASE to Sweden?
Does it cover that cost & can it be used to send abroad?

Thanks

Hi Johan,

Sadly, one 1st class stamp is not enough postage to send from the UK to Sweeden. These are the postage costs from the UK to Europe

0.44p 20g
0.64p 40g
0.83p 60g
£1.02 80g
£1.21 100g

I don't really know what to suggest, maybe stick 2 1st class stamps but I am not sure that it would work.

Hope this has been a small bit of help,
James {up}

Can you purchase the 72p stamps or something a bit less? 2 of those would be more than enough to cover the cost, I'm sure :wink:

44p is enough for my SASEs (under 20g)

How much is a first class stamp then? :|

Oh well, maybe I need to buy a big roll of 44p:s instead :mrgreen:

Those are 44p or 42p but I think they are only valid in the UK :roll:

You will need to get the stamps which are worth money and can be used for Airmail letters :mrgreen:

If you like I can ask at the Post Office what stamps can be used as I am going up later today {up}

I am sure that you can use a first class large, well that is what I was told at my local post office. If it is anymore than a first class then you can just add the rest up with the stamps that have money on them.
