Is it really rude to supply a photo for someone to sign but not enclose postage?I guess many people will say it is and in many respects I think it is but I need to send my request soon or otherwise I'm running the risk of not getting a reply and I do not have any stamps at the moment :roll:

My request is to America Ferrera and as Ugly Betty is getting extremely popular, I'm worried that she may get like Evangeline Lilly and the rest of the cast of Lost who sign very occasionally now :roll:

You should send for the return postage,but I understand your position you're in right now. I say 50% chance you might get it back. With those odds I would still send it. :)

There have been other successes using an SAE :shock:

I've decided I don't want to risk it as I really want a response from America. I'm just going to have to get some postage :lol:

If I were you I would've sent it anyway and mention in my letter the reason why I didnt include return postage!
Rather take the shot and keep your fingers crossed, then wait for stamps and miss it! You might just get lucky enough to end up with a success.. :wink:

or you can include a dollar. I have done that before, and it worked.

Hi TheMailman :D

I think it is kind of rude to send a photo/SAE and no postage. You have to remember that any celebrity you write to has no obligation of sending something back to you, and you run the risk of losing anything you send.

If you send something and want it returned, paying for return postage is the way to go. It's more out of courtesy and politeness above anything else.

Celebrities recieve hundreds of thousands of requests per day/week/month and they don't work just to pay for postage to reply to fan mail. It's easier for them to ignore requests without return postage. As such, paying for postage is the way to go {up}
