I know that from the USA to Canada, a 9x12 envelope with a piece of cardboard is usually 63-70 cents.

Right, but I'm confused. What is "standard"? 5X7? 9X12? 10X13?

that's like the size of the envelope you send. it really doesn't matter about the size sometimes, you just weight it.

LOL BABii_ANG3L, I wish that were true, but in Canada size of envelopes matter! jonquillejaune, a standard envelope is like what a normal letter in the mail would come in, such as bills, cards, 4x6 pictures...things like that! Oversized is like a 9x12 envelope or larger, probably photos from 5x7, 8x10 and bigger.

ruffy, you should be fine with putting on two $0.87 cents (if you have left over, as you can use the old stamps for the year) or the new $0.93 cent stamps. That should cover your letter, picture with cardboard as I've done it several times before and I never have a problem with it. On your SASE with USA stamps, normally I put on $0.90 cents worth. That should get your stuff back okay from anywhere in the US without extra postage being attached!

Hope that helps,

Larisie :D
