Sending a Magazine

Unread post by dreamingofyoo »

Hey,
I'm planning to sent a SASE to Lauren "LC" Conrad ... and i want her to sign a magazine that she is on... What do i do with the Return Envelope? Do i just slapp some stamps on it or what? i know that it's a stupid question but yea... i don't know how the postal service wants it...

You have one envelope that you fold and put inside and that one you put whatever about of stamps you need and put your name address in the middle.

dgangel: I don't want to ruin the magazine!! :) I paid 2.99 for it, i don't want to ruin it!!

ChattyGirl247: I know the whole envelope procedure! i'm just unsure about the stamps... so it's fine if i just slap some stamps on it and the post office won't mind? because its going to be in those yellow envelopes with those clasps things in the back

well i'm guessing you live in the US so that would mean you would put probably 4 stamps to be on the safe side because the magazine most likley make it heavier

i dont' know.. maybe because its going to be heavy... isn't there a limit to how many pounds/ounces it can be to be sentable with stamps?

if you take it to the mail counter, ask the postal worker to weigh it for you. When he does that, he'll tell you how much postage it will cost to send it. Then just tell him that you need to pay for the return postage too. They will total it up and print off 2 "bar code" postage labels that take the place of "stamps". One will go on the upper right corner of the envelope you are sending and one will go in the upper right corner of your reture SASE that you put inside. That saves you from having to guess how many stamps to put on it and keeps the envelopes looking nice and professional too! Hope this information helps you out a little! Best of luck to you with your requests. Have a great day, take care and be safe!
It is better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6.
