I have a lot of envelopes that my autographs came back in & the stamps have not been marked by the post office & I want to reuse them.. So I was wondering how you do it..I didn't think you could but apparently you can! Do you just cut them out & tape them on or something like that? Please help if you can.. I want to try & save a little bit of money! Thanks :]

You can try peeling them off or I guess you could cut and paste.

Hey,

I peel them off as carefully as possible, and then tape the back on. Do not put tape over the front or the post office will not mail your letter.

cut around them and then soak them in Hot Water. It will seperate the adhesive on the back of the stamp from the envelope. Then just place them on a paper towel and let them dry out. when you want to reuse them again just put a little glue on the back.

I've been doing it for quite a few years. About 8-9 years ago I discovered/invented a way to reuse cancelled stamps as well. Please don't ask I won't give out that info.

I just cut it out of the envelope and throw it in a little bowl with some hot water in it. Three minutes later your stamp will be flowing seperately from the envelope :D Very fast and no harm done to it :) Then just take it out and let it dry then glue it on to your new envelope.

Because I live in Australia and quite often get uncancelled US stamps (they always stamp them here LOL, but in the US they seem slack, and use biro!) I thought I'd try sending some back to the US, so I could use them on a SASE instead of sending an IRC. I just sent the same envelope as it had no postage or stamp marks on it, and I never got it back! The person at the other end said they sent it, so I'm not sure what happened! I have had of letters apparently lots before so maybe it was just a coincidence it happened to that one too, or maybe they busted me!
lol! i bet that will happen to me, because i dont have the best luck in the world so if i tried to glue them back on they would probably fall off of something or they would accept my letter! & that would be really bad! i might have to try soaking them in water sometime though..hopefully it will work for me!
