Many times even if you include your own photo the person will send there own photo. So if you don't have a photo to send that should be fine.

I've also seen some users here offer to send jpg images via email that one could use to print out color or b&w photos if they have a color printer. You might consider throwing the question out there as there are a lot of helpful members here.

I would just include a blank postcard/index card if you don't have a picture. As has been said, more often than not a photo will be sent back to you anyway. I think i've only had one occassion where the person signed only the postcard.

That way, you're not losing anything like a nice printed photo if you don't have anything returned, but at least you've included something to be signed.

Theres a lot of sites with great photos of celebrity and all you do is simply past them to a paint or picture program then print. So if you dont get it back it's really not that big of a loss.

Hi,

Here is a posting I made elsewhere on this forum, but which I think might help!

Don't worry about sending a picture unless there is something you really want the celeb to sign. In my experience you do not stand any more chance of getting a pre-print if you don't include your own photo.

Any celebrity worth their salt has their own photos to send out. In fact, if you send a picture you can in some cases be more likely to get a pre-print back.

Most agents (who tend to deal with 99% of the fan mail) have a stack of pre-signed photos from their clients which they send out on their behalf. When I say pre-signed I mean original autographs (not pre-prints)but photos signed in bulk, maybe 1000 at a time, and left with the agent.

If you send your own photo, this has to be forwarded by the agent to the client to be signed as a "special". More often than not this is not feasible and the unsigned picture is returned to you.

I work in TV and find it much quicker and easier to send out my own photos / signed merchanise than have to negotiate the delivery and return of personal items! Although we all try to accommodate personal items, the workload for these is 100 times greater, especially when you're busy!

Hope this helps!

Ian
