Am I doing something wrong?

Unread post by Drumchik »

Hi, sorry to bother everyone, but I have a question.

I've sent handwritten letters, with a return SASE and two IRC's to the following, on the following dates:

Paul Guilfoyle (CSI) - 21st July 2006
Louise Lombard (CSI) - 21st July 2006
Eric Szmanda (CSI) - 21st July 2006
Famke Janssen - 6th October 2006
Lisa Edelstein (House) - 6th October 2006
Sandra Bullock - 4th August 2006
Mariska Hargitay - 4th August 2006
Mary Higgins Clark - 2nd September 2006
Angie Dickinson - 2nd September 2006
Kathryn Erbe (Criminal Intent) - 10th November 2006
Vincent D'Onofrio (Criminal Intent - 10th November 2006

And I'm still waiting on replies. Is this just the usual amount of time it takes, or am I doing something incorrectly?

I have received autographs, including Marcia Cross, Julie Andrews, Johnny Depp, June Allyson and Maureen O'Hara.

And I've used addresses obtained from here.

Am I just impatient and should wait?

Thanks for your help :)

The secret to autograph collecting is patience

As a Law & Order collector myself, I can tell you I've had success from Mariska Hargitay last summer, and a few members here have had recent successes from her.

Never before have I seen a success from Vincent D'Onofrio via the L&O Pier 62 address. I don't think he replies to his fans. :|

yep, it just takes time. The average autograph takes about 6 months to come & i've had an autograph come after a 3 year wait. So keep your hopes up & never give up {up}
