I've sent about 75 letters since I started in September 2006. I have got some great success stories, but I can't believe how many I never heard from at all. I did get one stating due to the amount of requests they can't send an autograph but sent a bumper sticker and guitar pick. I understood. But 25-30 I never heard a thing. Do you think I'm impatient? It's been about 6-7 months. Is it normal not to get a resonse of any kind?

I think we all get impatient at times Speedy1028
Some celebrities may get back to you quickly, others take their time. Many people have had to wait months or even years to get back to you, so there's always a chance they'll respond sooner or later.
I hope you've included a SASE (or equivalent) with your requests, this will only help increase your chance if the celebrity you have written to does respond.
You will have to understand however, that you'll not get responses from everyone. But fingers crossed that you'll receive a reply from most.
It's just a waiting game from now on in ...

I think it's normal. I also have more than 50 sent over two years ago whom I haven't heard back from. So either they are taking their time or there will be no reply - you can never know!

Well I would say that it all depends on who the celebrities are. If you sent out requests to say actors or actresses that are all currently filming, a delay would be expected. "Normal" response times can range from as quick as a month to as long as a full year or longer! It all depends on the celebrity. Just be patient. That's what makes this hobby so much fun!
I have some requests that have been out for over 2 years. But I haven't given up on them yet! I haven't thrown out the records I have for them yet. It may be that they will never come back, but don't give up on them.
If you list the celebrities that you sent your requests to, we may be able to help you better.

Some celebs take a lot of time to reply. A few years back I was making an autograph collection for my nephew while he was being treated for cancer. One celeb responded the same week I sent the letter. Lots showed up over a few months time. Some showed up a year later. One 2 years later. And one even 3 years after the request. A few we never heard from and a few had their people send back notes saying they weren't signing autographs, etc. It is a wait and see hobby. Hang in there the replies will come.
