$$ as IRCs?

Unread post by ldy josie x »

Hi all :)
Can money be used as return postage//IRC?

For example—If I’m sending a letter to the UK, and I live in the US, can I just send American dollars in place of an IRC?
I heard that I can do that, but I’m a bit hesitant because wouldn’t it be a hassle for the celebrity to go and exchange the currency or something?

Hope that makes sense.
Thanks {up}

Hi Josie :D

It is possible to send money to pay for return postage in place of an IRC (just don't send coins!) However, you have to ensure that you conceal the money well so your request doesn't get stolen en route or returned back to you.

If you do send money, I would recommend you send money in the form of that country's currency. It saves the hassle of the celebrity having to exchange currency into their own, which can be difficult if we're only talking about very small amounts of money.

Sending IRC's is more convenient, but can be difficult for some people to purchase.

Hi ChattyGirl247 :D

I'm not saying that it'll come back as RTS, I'm just saying that as you're not really supposed to be sending cash TTM the post office may, on occasion send your letter back to you.

It doesn't always happen, but it can happen.
