Hi, I know Ian McKellen will be performing at the Melbourne arts center in from 28th of July and I was wondering if anyone knew:

a) The address to send mail to the Melbourne Arts Center? (so i could try and send him an autograph request)
b) If the Arts center is likley to forward on my mail to Ian McKellen?
c) What are the chances (although i don't have any tickets for the play) of meeting Ian McKellen if i go to the Arts Center?

Can anyone help?

Thanks for the info I hadn't realised he'd be in Australia at the end of this month, I'd been meaning to write to him for a while now.

Their mailing (and actual) address are located on their website here.

They have a contact email form at the link above. You should probably contact them and see if they will forward mail. Let me know if you hear anything.

I would have no idea! There's always a chance if you wait by the stage door and try to catch him going in / leaving after a performance.

Thanks for the help If I get time to call them I will do. But I might just send the mail anyway, its the first time I am sending to an Australian address so I'll be saved a lot of money so its much easier to risk it Also I'm worried if they call they might tell me they don't just because they don't want to have to handle it if they get a heap of fanmail. Call me suspicious but I have had staff tell me wrong information before about numerous things before which has caused me problems. But if you would like me to call them for you I can prob find the time to, I'd be happy to help someone else out

And i don't know whether I should risk waiting for him at the stage, its dam cold this winter! ha ah ha! And all the performances are at night and i don't know anyone who would come with me

I received a reply to my email this morning. The Arts Centre will forward mail.

Aw Excellent! Thanks very much for letting me know! I think I will write to him the day before the first show as it should only take the mail one or two days at the most to get to him from where I live.
