IRC Help - Please!

Unread post by Elusive Miss »

I have never used an IRC before, but I bought several. At one post office, they only had three left and they actually postmarked these as well as added stamps to get them to the $2 mark - at the other, they gave them to me blank. WHich way is correct? I really have a few letters I would like to send out, but I am so confused.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks,

~Missy

I am no expert on IRC's, so this may not be correct but I don't think it matters which ones you use, the stamped or the unstamped. As for the stamps, you could send an IRC and a stamp if you are concerned that just the IRC will not be enough, but you must make sure that the stamps can be used in the country you are sending to.

You may wahnt to check this information with one of the mods :)

So, are IRCs suposed to be postmarked by our post offices before we send them overseas? That is my main concern at this point, as I have 4 that are, and 10 that aren't. I don't want to send blank ones if it means they don't work.

Thanks!

Yes they are suppose to be postmarked. I had the same problem a while back, went to two different places one did it, the other didn't. I went back to the post office and just explained what happened and she stamped it for me.

Thank you so much! So, when I want to send another out that isn't stamped, I can just hand it to the postal worker and explain they were given to me blank? That's a load off my mind...and 2 letter I can now send out with no problem! :D
