if you sent to an outdated address, you may end up getting a RTS. I wouldn't recommend doing that. If you did and didn't realize it, it's okay, everyone makes mistakes

Sometimes the people or company at the outdated address may send it to the current address if they know it, but I think that it is most likely that you will recieve a RTS

If you used an outdated address (Knowlingly or otherwise) one of two things will happen
1 - The Person/Company in question requested a forwarding order from the post office. This means that any mail sent to the old address within a year, will get forwarded to the new address.
2 - If they didn't get a forwarding order, or you sent after the 1 year mark, you'll likely get a RTS
