I was wondering what other people's opinions on this is.
Do you generally find via venue success rates higher than agency addresses?
What's your success rate for via venue addresses?
How long does it take for a response via venue?

yes i do find VV more successful. The time it takes to get a response varies. It can be as short as one week to two months.

How about if you're mailing to a concert, instead of a filming location?

same. Filming location takes a little longer to get a success.

So far I've only sent 3 via venue requests (all famous musicians) and received back 0 ... I think I'm gonna stick with agencies/managers

it's ok... I have other addresses which I'll try

they're:
Deep Purple - sent in July
Black Sabbath (touring as Heaven & Hell) - sent in March
Scorpions - sent in August (maybe there's still chance I get this one... crosses fingers, lol)
