I have seen alot of posts on here by members regarding IRC's and that their post offices don't carry them. I've lived in many small towns where my local post office didn't carry IRC's. However, Don't go in there ask, they tell you they don't carry them and leave. Explain to the postmaster that you use 5,10,15 etc. IRC's a year and could they please stock them for you. I have never had a post office tell me no. Alot of post offices don't carry them because there's not a need for them in the area you live but if you ask they will get them in for you.

Do you live in the US? Wow if you do, then you're lucky. But I'd rather buy them in other countries because they cost a little less.

Why do we even need to use these IRCs? I send out international requests and haven't used a single one of them and I've had replies from Billy Boyd, Edina Pop, Jenny Agutter, Angela Merkel, Jackie Chan, Amii Stewart, etc. and they all went through properly. Though my stamps were unmarked...

Because it depends on who you're sending to. Some celebs are really cheap about postage and won't pay a penny.

We have all seen your posts on here "COUGH" and your unmarked stamped envelopes. Not only does your successes amaze me LOL but you receiving overseas mail with unmarked U.S stamps is absolutely phenomenal. Anybody with any common sense knows post offices will only send mail with their respective stamps. I live in the U.S and spent 4 years in europe, absolutely no way a european or any post office is going to accept and send mail with some other countries stamps. Perfect example many years ago I wrote sterling moss C/O International Motorsports Hall of Fame and not thinking I enclosed a SASE with U.S stamps , moss lives in the U.K I received it months later with a letter from him that basically said that he had to wait to send it until he came back to the U.S and next time send an IRC. Don't believe that you can use U.S stamps on SASE's going out of country. It's ridiculous.

Hi whosurdaddy
This is a perfect example of what I mean;

Edina Pop (awesome

) from Kell am See, Germany. My stamps apparently went through. I actually called my local post office up before sending to her asking how much postage was needed to get to Germany and to return, and I was told that 90 cents should cover each envelope if they were only 9x11's.
As for the common sense part...apparently I don't have any
