I always wondered about this. If you're sending VV to a concert, you know it has to be there by a certain time so could you put Please send by.. For example today it's the 26th and I'm sending to Rihanna and her performance is on December 2nd could you write on the envelope please send by the 28th on November?
Also what happens if the concert is like on the 3rd but your letter doesn't get there til the 4th. Do they throw away your letter or do they foward it to the celebrity.

Thats a good question about the first paragraph.
But about the second paragraph, it all depends on what place you are sending to. Some places forward on mail to the celebrities and some don't.
Good Luck,

I dont think it matters what you write on it, the mail isnt going to go any faster then it goes unless you pay extra for next day delevery

It also depends where you live. Mail doesn't go from one country to another in a few days(maybe, if you're lucky.) But yeah, I always put a little star on the envelope POSTMASTER: PLEASE DELIVER BY ___. THANKS!. I think if the letter arrives after the concert, I think they'll just forward it to their management or something, since they always forward mail to the tour manager.

Hi ChattyGirl247
Like the others have said, it doesn't really matter what you write on the envelope - unfortunately it takes as long as it takes

By the time an actual person has hold of your letter (postman/lady) it has already been through the machinery part of the system, and no matter how fast they walk they are not going to get it there any quicker at that stage
What you can do however, is to send earlier (so you letter arrives maybe 2 days before the celeb is due) and write something like: "Please hold for {celeb} arriving on 4th December" (for example).
Again as has been mentioned, some venues will send mail on - usually you have a better chance with smaller venues, tv studios etc. Big international venues will often just throw your letter away if it arrives late unfortunately
Hope this helps!
Ian

i think that if it doesn't arrive on time from my experience they either chuck it or give you a RTS.

hmm... intresting. I've never gotten a VV success before except one from a movie shoot so I always wondered what happened to it.
