I realize that patience is important in the collecting biz. However, I'm pretty new to this hobby so I'd like your feedback on appropriate waiting times.

I have been waiting the following times to receive autographs from certain celebrities. How long do you think I should wait until I try again?

88-94 days
Adrian Paul
Julian Sands
Judge Judy Sheindlin
Judge Cristina Perez

131-135 days
Eminem
Shawn Michaels

137-152 days
Lucy Lawless
Judge Greg Mathis
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (Sent via the email form on the California goverment webpage)

162-170 days
Russell Crowe
Christopher Lambert

189-199 days
Fairuza Balk
Kathy Bates
Sean Connery
Shannen Doherty
Tom Petty
Sissy Spacek
Jerry Springer
Kiefer Sutherland
Steve Wilkos (Sent to the Jerry Springer Show, but now he has his own show)
Oprah Winfrey

ThanX in advance for your feedback.

Fondly,

Drama Mama, Reformed

Yes patience is key in this hobby. My personal opinion is that you should wait at least a year if not a little bit more before sending again. Some autos can take 2+ years to come back, so really you just have to wait for it to come in.

As well as some celebs taking over a year to reply, some of the ones you've listed I've never even seen any kind of reply from :?

ThanX for the feedback. I just realized: Out of the 21 requests that are outstanding 9 of them have no feedback listed on this forum. I might get lucky & be the first for a few, but--until my cash flow improves--I think I'll stick mainly to those celebs that have a rep for responding.

This is not to say that I've given up hope. {thumb2}

I really would like to receive something from {??} Arnold Schwarzenegger {??}

I have a question: Should I send an email to Steve Wilkos since he's no longer the body guard on Jerry Springer, and he has his own show now? (Reminder: I sent him a letter via the Jerry Springer Show on May 16, 2oo7.) Both shows are in the same building, for what it's worth, so I reckon that maybe it would be easy to pass on the mail.

for what it's worth i sent an autograph request to Arnold, last year and got a reply saying he is too busy to respond to autograph requests as governor. Oprah and Jerry Springer seem to take sometimes years to respond... Honest to God I read somewheres that Mr. Sutherland stopped signing autographs because of something that happened to him earlier this year, as for a lot of the other ones i've never even seen a reply ttm from them, but there's always hope!

The answer, to how long you will have to wait is, how long is a piece of string. Sometimes it can be as little as a week or less, or it can be 3-4 years.

I think, that you should be safe, if you write back after about 6 months, and then leaving it.
It's no good begging someone for an autograph, who will not, reply dont worry your get heaps of success anyway {thumb2} {thumb2}
