IRC's + SASE's Not Available - Alternatives ???

Hi all!
My local post offices don't sell IRC's  ... and because most of my requests (99%) go overseas, I can't send SSAE's ... This is really annoying me because I'm not exactly getting all of my requests back (far from it

) and I would like to know if anyone has any suggestions or alternatives I could use to use instead of IRC's and/or SSAE's??
Any help would be appreciated

The only alternative you have would be to purchase stamps from a person that lives in the country you want to send too.

Hello! ;)
I have exactly the same problem!
I almost always include a SAE at least. I've had some successes that way... What I do to get IRC's or stamps is I trade movie postcards (made in South Africa, exclusively) with other members on this site. Mabey you can find something to trade, like nice postcards... ;)
Good luck!!
Regards,
Liz

Thanks Lizanne & guilder1st!
I also try to send SAE's ... But if I trade will the IRC's work? Do they have to be bought in your country? Or can I use say american IRC's to send to Britain?
Thanks guys

A lot of people on this site offer to trade things for IRC's. I usually, if I do send overseas, will include $1. This may not be useful to them because they are in another country but if you write somewhere in your letter that you could not find any IRc's and don't have any stamps from their country, I'm sure they'll understand. Also, a few celebs don't require SASE's but it always is the polite thing to do. Many people take advantage of this. Well, good luck with your sending of overseas and I hope you find a way to get some autographs.

Hi hangman
Most international postal services sell stamps online now
If I am writing to the USA from the UK, then I attach US postage to the reply envelope.
I gather you are in Ireland, so you should be able to purchase US postage from the US Postal Service website here:
http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ ... ryId=11834
Good luck, and I hope this helps!

Well, in my country on the IRC's it says " Norvège " = Norway.
Idk, but yeah I agree with the other ones.
