question about postage

Unread post by wendyisrad »

I am new to this forum and to autograph collecting. In the past I have never sent a SASE but I am going to start. I was wondering how much postage I should use? When I mail my envelope, I will be mailing from a United States address to another U.S. address and it will be an 8x10 envelope with an 8x10 photo and a SASE which will also be 8x10, and cardboard. Just wondering how much postage to use on my envelope and also how much I should put on my SASE? I don't want to use more than I have to... stamps probably get expensive with this hobby!

Thanks!!!!

Yes the hobby can get VERY expensive!

For your 8X10 SASE the stamps should be 0.80 for one 8X10

Now for the envelope holding your letter, SASE, photo and cardboard, it depends on what it weighs.

I'm trying to think: I sent that minus the cardboard for 0.80, so with cardboard it should be 0.97

Hope that helps!
