I'm using HP Deskjet 3930 to print out some color photos and it's not very good. What other color printers are good under $500?
Do we need to buy high quality glossy photo paper too or we can use any cheap photo paper? What brand do you recommend?

I use semi-gloss photo paper and I have um... h/o HP officejet 6110 all-in-one printer and it's pretty good. What I do is go to a website and find a nice un copyrighted picture then resize it on Microsoft word. I've only done it three times for VV but i think I might do it more often.... hope it helps

I have an Epson photo printer. I like the Epson brand. And it's always a good idea to use the same brand ink and paper as your printer.

I go on http://www.photobox.com, 17p per picture, and it's a lot cheaper, and usually better quality than printers. It normally arrives within 1 working day

Ilford is a great paper, and yes you can use it with any printer, just download the profile once you get it. And it'll be better than any cheap brand you buy. But it is pricey, buy it from any photo store. You can use it with any printer, from a $9,000 printer to my little HP.

Thanks for your input. Very helpful.

That PhotoBox is for Europe only. Is there another website for USA? I'm living in the USA.
