Kind of new to this, when people ask for autographs do most people send a picture with the request or just send a typed request?

Which one gets the better response?

Whether to send a photo or not depends really on who you are writing to. Many celebs will send you their own, but to be safe I include my own photo for those I'm unsure of (pretty much 75%!!). You can get a good idea of whether to send a photo to the celeb you're writing to by looking at previous successes members on here have had. To do this, type the name of your desired celeb in the 'search fanmail.biz' toolbar at the top of your screen, and have a look around at the various topics that come up! Members will usually state if they sent their own photo or not.

When I usually send out requests, I usually write it..I think it is way better writing and you'll get a better chance because the celebrity will know you took the time to write a letter to them. If you want to send in anything for them to be autographed, you can. Most celebrities send their own photo most of the time
