Sending from Canada

Can somebody dumb down the steps to sending a SASE from Canada to the US?
Oh, and do I have to use a postal coupon or can I use US stamps if I can get a hold of them?

If you have US stamps, place at least 3 or 4 first class stamps on the SASE. You do not have to use an IRC unless you don't have stamps the country you're sending to.

For me i have had much success sending from canada just by sending 2 canadian stamps that were equal to the cost of sending autographs from the US to Canada. I think it was 90 cents each so I think I put two of them on my SASE. I hope this helps and makes sense.
