do you include a picture for them to sign, or just a self-addressed stamped envelope and they will have pictures to send you?

regarding pictures, I tend to send my own (that way there are no pre-printed pictures)

I always send my own pictures (I print them off google images on photo paper or I will buy one). I also send a SASE too.

Almost all celebrities have photos to send out to fans when you write to them via agency/management. I never send my own photos (unless I write via a movie set), I just send my letter and SASE. When sending only your SASE, try to send a 9x12" sized envelope as most celebrities send 8x10" photos, if your envelope is too small, the photo won't fit in it and you either might not get a reply or the agent will cut the photo smaller so it fits in your envelope. The best to do is to search the forum to see what kind of replies people normally get from your favourite celebrities, that way, you'll know exactly what to do and what to expect. {thumb2}

Also, it might not nessassary increase your chances of getting an authentic autograph if you send your own photo - most of the time, if the celebrity sends out preprints, you'll most likely receive one and there isn't much you can do about it (even if you write via venue).

Just correcting this Peanut1234, as it's misleading - sending your own picture does not guarantee that you will receive an authentic signature back. They could keep your photo and send a preprint in it's place, or they could autopen/stamp it.

oh alright, thanks for all of you help.

However, since I do not want to start another thread, I have one more question!

Okay, So, I live in Mississauga, Ontario Canada. and im sending my fanmail to an address in DiamondBar, California.
Luckily for me, around July 24th I will be in SanDiego California for a vacation. Therefore should I just send the letter when im at California, or should I send it from my house in Canada.

Also, If I send it from my uncles house in California, for the return address (On the top left hand side of the envelope) would I put MY address in Canada or His address in California?

Lastly, for the SASE or w.e its called, for the address you put in the middle so like the person THEY would SEND it Back to would I put my address in Canada or my uncles address in California (I don't mind how much postage is)

Oh and I am probably going to use US stamps while doing that



Oh and If my SASE envelope is 9X12, how big would the envelope be when I send it to them? (because the SASE goes inside another envelope right)?

Well, it depends on how long you'll stay there, but I would rather put my own return address on the envelope. It also depends on how fast she'll reply.
