Hi fan0258 {up}

Yes, it is fine to print out a photo and send it off. Most celebs will sign one for you, but there are exceptions (mainly copyright issues) which may put some celebs off signing a printed photo.

Also, some celebs are restricted by contract only to sign "approved" pictures, which would mean they couldn't sign one you sent them.

I would send one anyway, and if they do not want to sign it for you - they can supply their own!!!!!

Cheers

Hey there,

So if I send a printed photo, do I need to mention that if they can't sign it so please supply one their own?

Hi again {up}

What I would say in your letter is something along the lines of "..... I have enclosed a photograph which I would be very grateful if you would be able to sign, but if not I would be happy with anything you can provide".

Or something similar! You obviously need to write it how you feel comfortable, but don't be afraid to ask for what you want. (be polite of course!)

Hey again,

Thank you very much for helping me, I really appreciate it.

You think it's not a good idea to tell a celebrity if I'm having any feeling for her/him ?

Thanks alot again

Hi fan0258 {up}

At the end of the day it is totally up to you!

All I would say is that I personally sign somewhere in the region of 20 autos per day via the mail (so I don't think John Travolta has anything to worry about!!!), but in the past I have received auto requests of all extremes.

I tend to send stuff out with no problem as long as people are polite and don't make me feel awkward. If I get a letter from someone who I totally didn't know who was telling me they had feelings for me it actually makes me feel quite awkward.

It depends what your goal is though. If you want an auto back I would play it safe, but if you just want to get something off your chest then try your luck!

The worst example I have to give, is a letter I got this morning. THIS IS TOTALLY TRUE!!!!
It had no return postage (which is not a real problem if the rest is polite), but on opening the letter, it read:

"Can u mail me your autograph to me at .................." that is the total text of the letter, ONE LINE!!!! and NO I will not be replying to that one!!!!!!

My goal

Unread post by fan0258 »

Hello there,

I really appreciate your opinion and your help. My goal is to get a signed photo and say the celebrity how much I amire her, how much I love to watch her on TV shows and movies and how much I love her as a person, so I hope that is not bad to say and not gonna make her feel uncomfortable. I totaly agree with you that you don't even need to answer to someone that just ask an autograph at the opening of the letter...I would do the same as you.

Thanks alot

Hi fan0258 {up}

I think it would be perfectly OK to write to your celeb as per your last posting. I don't think anyone would be offended by that!

Are you going to tell us who she is? :wink:
