Should I have included more money?

Hi I'm from the UK and I recently set a request to the USA. I know the celeb provided their own pictures so I asked for an autograph and included $5. However they also needed to pay for an envelope. So is $5 for the envelope, picture and return postage sufficient? I decorated the LOR and wrote quite a long thoughtful letter so I hope so.

Definately enough. They also usually have envelopes there already.

Yeah I send $5 off with my 8x10 (uk to usa) and mine always come back and postage on my envelope is usually less than $4 so the remaning dollar (ish) is more than enough for an envelope.

I usually always include a SAE with my letter so that is one less thing they need to worry about. It all depends on the person. Some won't reply without an envelope, some do.

Considering they probably make a lot more money than you, they should return the $5! Maybe thats just me...

I always include a SASE too, and started including pictures too making it as easy as possible to get a success. I've had success when I didn't include pictures but I don't want to waste time & money.
