How much money is it to send just a letter from the US to the UK?

It is 80 cents for a normal sized envelope. I normally just put 3 first class 39 cent stamps on just to make sure.

I thought the postal prices for a normal sized envelope from the US to UK went up to 84 cents (all of my recent successes have $0.84 on it, while ones last year had $0.80).
