Do you catalog your collection?

I have several hundred signed items in my collection including books, photos, magazines, sports cards and memorabilia, CDs, etc. I want to put together a catalog of what I have so I can keep track of everything. Do any of you do that? What do you use? Excel spreadsheets? Databasing apps or software? Something else? Curious to know what other folks do.

Not a very good one, but I have a website where I post scans of the autographs and then have them stored in folders arranged by type or movie. I have throught about cataloging them and barely got started--I got as far as selecting an Excel spreadsheet and typing names but then I haven't kept up with it. I do keep a list of who I sent where and when (stars name, address used, what sent) but that is very old school paper and pen.
