They could have the same assistant/secretary that deals with their mail.

Its difficult to tell from the Elton pic, but is the dedication the same handwriting/pen stroke as the autograph? If it is, then its likely secretarial, if not, then it may be a pre-signed pic with a dedication added by a secretary.

No, The pen stroke is different. I think the signature may be real..

I agree with Andy's point

Also, It is not necessary that since you have similar handwriting that they are both from the same person. That is flowing handwriting and it develops similarly over a period of time. There are notable differences in the U in South and the A in Chase. However, they both could have the same assistant of secretary for all we know.

As for the Elton John; as I said above, I agree with Andy. It 1. be pre signed and dedicated by the secretary. However, from the pic itself, I can see that the shades of the pen for the auto and the dedication are at different tones, the auto being lighter and the dedication being darker. This supports Andy's theory.
