I purchase/ pay money for autographs on a consistant basis from 2-3 dollars to thousands of dollars. Of course you have to know who your buying from. Honestly, I had no idea who Matt Dallas was and had to go on IMDB. Actually if you had seen him in one of his films and want to pay the 20.00 for his autograph. I see nothing wrong with it. Welcome to the real world. I would rather see this on every celebrities site rather than watching young collectors receiving autopens, Laserprints,preprints and autopens. stamps etc. and believing they are real. I actually respect Matt Dallas taking this approach and I wish others would as well.

I would buy his autograph, I think he is a good actor. Not going to buy it just yet though, I think i'll at least try him ttm first.

While I didn't know who he was until I checked IMDB, I think if you wanted to try TTM, I'd do that first. If, after some months you don't get a success, I would purchase it.

As was stated, I'd think this is a better way for some younger collectors to get some authentics in their collections.. Might get expensive though.

That is exactly what I am thinking with Ana Ivanovic. I can buy her autograph (authentic) for US $5.00 which all money goes to charity, or I could send her a letter while suppling my own picture. I sent a letter to her and I PMed her forum admin regarding not receiving an autograph back.

My message:
Hello Admin,

I was wondering if Ana has receive my letter yet because I don't think I have put enough postage for her to send back an autograph.

His reply:


Hi Carmelo,

Unfortunately we cannot answer that at this time. Please wait a few weeks - if you don't receive a signed photo, please send another envelope, because that will mean we didn't receive the first one.
