It's possible I might be a little too organized, but here is what I do and who I am waiting on:

I always enclose a handwritten letter. I think that really shows you put some thought into the person you are asking to sign. I have a notebook and write down the name and address of the celebrity, then the date I send it out.

I make a copy of the letter I wrote and then file it in a folder. When the envelope comes back, I attach the letter to it. At least I can remember what I wrote to who. Also, on the back of the return envelope, before I send it, I use a Sharpie and on the bottom lower left, I write the celebrities initials and date sent in small letter and numbers. Just a little reminder for me when the letter comes back I can look on the back and know who it is from if there is no return address. At least if I ever got lucky and got a very personal note back, or even phone call, I would be able to reference what I said to that celebrity.

I just received last week, Joan Fontaine (Olivia deHavilland's sister). She is supposedly going to be in a remake of the film "The Women". We'll see if that really gets done or not. My most prized though, is Lauren Bacall. That was an in-person autograph. I could have just had Ashley Simpson this week. She was at the Wal-Mart, but you should have seen the amount of little kids. My niece wanted it, but I could not take the screaming kids, LOL.
