Your First Autograph

As a kid I wrote to Fiona Kelly who wrote the Mystery Club books and she sent me a badge and signed note back, written on the back of a small poster.
When I was about 8/9 I met some of the UK Gladiators and got their autos when they were filming some stuff at Ironbridge. Cobra wrote on mine, "Catherine you have a gift you must use it." I still haven't a clue what "gift" he meant.
I also have a signed and dedicated Shirley Hughes book from when I was a kid (my Mum's friend met her).

Didn't get into "proper" autograph collecting for about another 15 years though! :razz:

Mine was yearsss ago, I wrote to Nickelodeon and asked for the whole team (back in the day when they had presenters!) - and they sent me them, all hand-signed and included some free goodies - it felt like Christmas!

My first autograph was a PP from Daniel Radcliffe. I still remember the excitement of opening the letter, and to my surprise, finding a 'signed' picture of him! What a great hobby!

My first ever autograph is in my autograph book which was Minnie Mouse when I was 10, followed quickly by Ainsley Harriot the same day.

After that the next one I got was probably The Army Of Freshmen/Bowling For Soup/Son Of Dork, when I went to see Bowling For Soup in Leeds.

My first autograph was baseball player Dave Campbell who then played for the Houston Astros on the back of one of my dad's business cards. It was before a Phillies/Astros game in Philadelphia.
