an ebay question... PP's with COA's????????????

Unread post by eveliendorien »

so..a lot of times that we don't have anything to do..we go to ebay..Just to see what's being offered autograph-wise... and there's always one particular seller..who sells Preprinted autographs WITH COA?????

We don't buy autographs on Ebay..but we sent him a question regardless, asking how Preprints can have a COA, since they're not authentic, just copies of possible authentics...

and he said something like (it wasn't even a sentence but because we're nice, we'll try and make it into one)

"COA of original copied PP"

That doesn't make any sense..right? LOL

the thing is that the seller was selling multiple of the same autograph..all claiming to be with a COA ... which is, other than the possiblitity of the COA being copied..also impossible, right?

can PP's have COA's?

When a COA is attached to an autograph, it's supposed to be 'proof' that the said autograph is a 100%, hand-signed authentic. This eliminates PP's, stamps, autopens, secretarials, fakes, etc.

However, COA's mean absolutely nothing these days, and you'll find it common that any idiot with a computer prints their own certificate, and sells these alongside any autograph they wish, fake or not. Unfortunately, a lot of people fall for this and end up wasting their money on scammers. Even many third-party authenticating companies, have been exposed as corrupt.

Original copied PP? What a chancer!
AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING AT ALL.

COAs are basically a waste of space 99% of the time anyway.

But yes, a PP can have a COA, as its "proving" (and I use that word VERY loosely) that its a copy of an authentic. Its ridiculous - and pointless really, but it makes sense in a twisted kind of way.
