COLLECTING IP

I was curious as to how people have consumed so many IP successes?

I'm assuming not everyone lives in LA and sees these people at the supermarket!

And those who don't have "Connections" Do you just get lucky by seeing them and ask for an autograph?

Is there some strategy involved?

If so i would be interested in hearing some peoples strategies or success stories!

Well I've lived in L.A and usually seeing a famous person is not that big of a deal

But usually my IP successes come from seeing Broadway shows Some people have conventions come to their city (i.e Comic Con) and they have signings. That's one way to get an IP success {thumb2}

In London it's mainly premieres and the rest is insider's knowledge ;) I don't usually enjoy meeting celebrities at premieres so I find other ways.

In most instances for me it has been at movie premieres.

However there have been some instances where I've read in a newspaper or heard that someone is going to be somewhere at a certain time for a certain event (e.g. book signing).

Unfortunately, in many cases I don't have the time to be collecting IP but like to when I can.

All of my IPs have been at sporting events

I go to the book signings of celebrities I'm a fan of if they come to a store near me.
I have also met a few support acts at concerts and got them to sign for me.
My boyfriend's friend also works as a security guard at the theatre near me so if there is ever any autographs I want he's said he'll try his best to get them for me. Famous people rarely come here though so I've only got one from him so far (Chris Ellison )

My advice is to read all the newspapers and search the internet. I've met celebrities in the weirdest places. I met Phil Lesh (the Grateful Dead) at the Red Cross building in Philadelphia where he was sponsoring a blood drive.

Plays and book signings are the best as others have stated.
