Re: Autograph or Not?
the question was if you would want their autograph if they were mean, not if the were mean if the should sign. so autoland, woul you want an autograph from a celebrity who was mean to you?

No not really, why should I have their autograph, I'm not up to begging for their autograph. BTW this is a great topicwheniam6 wrote:the question was if you would want their autograph if they were mean, not if the were mean if the should sign. so autoland, woul you want an autograph from a celebrity who was mean to you?

Re: Autograph or Not?
That depends how rude he/ she is, but the bottom line is that self integrity is worth much than an autograph to me

By mistake voted other
I meant Other
I agree- Sometimes celebs can get grumpy and not sign. But if someone was rude just to be rude- NO WAY

Re: Autograph or Not?
Well I had an experience like this with Michael Parkinson (one of the biggest UK tv presenters, just in case you didn't know). I'd bought his book and queued up for about 3 hours waiting for him to sign. I was about 3rd in line so it's not like he'd had many people before me. When I got to him I was excited because I was such a huge fan of his, and I tried to talk to him but he just ignored me. I thought maybe he didn't hear, so I repeated myself, then he just growled under his breath. I thought that was SO rude, he had absolutely no right to treat anyone like that, I was so disappointed and I refuse to be his fan now or even read his book. If he treats everyone like that (and apparently he did treat others like that) then he doesn't deserve to have any fans.
But the thing with him is he'd already signed my book by the time he was rude so I can't really answer your question, but to be honest I really don't think I'd have wanted it, and if I by any chance I ever meet him again then I wouldn't want it.

Thanks -Lil1- for the amazing set!

Re: Autograph or Not?
Hayley thats horrible. I've heard before that he's not very nice, but I thought that was maybe if he was approached in the street or something. This was an organised signing to PROMOTE his book, so theres no excuse. I certainly wouldn't want his autograph.
Re: Autograph or Not?
Hi! ;)
It's a "No" for me.
No one, famous or not, is supposed to be rude to others. Of course we are all only human but that is not an excuse to be rude to others, especially when they admire you! I don't really collect in person but if I ever met someone of whom I'm a huge admirer and they are rude to me for no valid reason, I wouldn't want their autograph or be a fan of theirs any longer. What is there to admire then?
I would not waste my time or money on someone who thinks they're better than me (and others).
Also, it's not like I would die for an autograph - it's really just a "nice to have" thing for me. {thumb2} I think as long as you keep that in mind and don't go all jealous and obsessive, you will be fine.
At the end of the day it's just a piece of paper with an ordinary person's writing on it!
Thanks,
zanne

Re: Autograph or Not?
I agree with both hayley and zanne, celebrities (as well as anyone) are not authorized to be rude or unrespectful towards someone who only admire them.
Asking an autograph to a mean person is just humiliating.
Interesting POLL!
