hey guys this is more of a curiosity qusteion then anything but im wondering what type of post office do you guys have wheir you live do you have a regular post office building? or a post office area in a store? or do you have something completly different? im just curious because here in canada(or atleast around wheir i live), we dont have a lot of regular post office buildings, but we have mostly post office areas in drug stores and we have a few in convenience stores, and you can also by stamps from alot of convenience stores and drug stores even if they dont have no post office area.
btw a post office area is like a regular check out counter in a store except instead of candy and cds around that area their are envelopes stamps etc.
personally i prefer it the way we have it this way you dont have to wait in line at the post office and come out with only stamps and envelopes atleast this way you can go to the drug store pick up some things you need for around the house and also get the stamps you want.

Re: post office qusteion
Where I live we have a small building maybe a mile away i would say?
But The building is connected to a comic book store- It's like a... wal mart and a comic store just glued together- still completely separate. It's got a couple door ways- you walk in through the first and there is a box checked daily to drop your mail in when it's closed. When it's open, you can go in , wait in line. There is also four blue boxes OUT SIDE checked maybe every couple days or so?
Yup, my post office.
Don't go there. Use the flag on my mailbox (slower, but it's worth a wait!) and buy stamps at king soopers.

Re: post office qusteion
I use to work at a direct mail marketing firm and had access to a weigh scale, envelopes, and other fan mail related stuff. Well, except for postage. I paid for that myself..haha
And of course, directly across the street from our workplace was the post office building.
I miss the convenience

Re: post office qusteion
I am very fortunate to have a small post office about 200 yards from my house. They are small but have everything that I have ever needed.

Over 9,000 requests sent since 1986.
