Re: How do you write your letter?
I agree, they may lose it in your SASE, but it wastes a lot of valuable space that you could be using on the letter. Also, about signing your name at the bottom, even if you type your letter, it shows the celebs that they're not reading a form letter, and are reading a sincere letter from the heart if you sign it.

Re: How do you write your letter?
Hi! ;)
All that I'm going to say is that typing your letter is a no-no to me (but if you're collecting for charity, that is different) - I always had and always will handwrite my letters. {thumb2} Here's the way I see it: how can you expect an authentic reply if you sent a printed letter?
Anyways, that's off-topic - my letters aren't professional (why should it be, I'm not applying for a job) but it's very polite, sometimes with a touch of humour and I wish them all the best at the end.
Remember, you're writing to someone you don't know personally - you would want them to actually like you.
"Stiff" letters will most likely result in just an ordinary photo with signature, writing a memorable letter (one which will stand out above all the rest) will result in a memorable reply.
Good luck!

Re: How do you write your letter?
i mostly type my letters, i hand write them if my printers out of ink or if i feel like it, i occasionally put my address on the letter (i always forget, thanks for the tip), and i sometimes sign it. My letters are always very polite, and i always check for spelling and read it over like 500000 times, lol.

I type my letter
I put my address at the top of the letter.
Through I never signed my name at the bottom.
I might start doing it now now through.

Re: How do you write your letter?
i always hand write my letter. i usually put my address on the back . it seems less formal and less business like. plus it gives me more from on the front to write my letter.
Re: How do you write your letter?
I never really thought of putting my addy on the top of the letter thats a good idea, ive only been collecting for a few years, so pointers are good to know! also, im usually not to formal on mine, i do sign the bottom, and say thank you for reading my letter.
for like non A list celebrities, for example like broadway musical actors (in some cases) and you know child stars, what about giving a few Q&A? or is that not really polite?

Re: How do you write your letter?
I mostly write my letters. I've only typed 1 letter so far, signed my name at the end.
I always ask for the autograph as a P.S/thanks on the bottom.
I never put my address on the letter; thanks for that idea!

Re: How do you write your letter?
I usually type my letters and sign them on the bottom. I always report my address on the letters I write, even if I enclose a SAE (in order not to lose your reply if they get messed up with the envelopes).
I also include something like "sincerely yours", "best regards", "I wish you all the best"...
