What is the best way to protect your autographs?

Unread post by DSUgirl2012 »

Especially the ones that are on computer paper or index cards? I now have mine in a binder but do you think lamenating them would be a good idea, because I do not want them ripping? Thanks!!!

you can go to a Wal-Mart or another type store and get an acid and PVC free photo album for your index cards. I have about 25 photo albums with index cards and they're fine. Kohl's also has the albums.

Don't laminate them - that will destroy value.

Hi DSUgirl2012! ;)

The best way to store your autographs is to keep them away from sunlight or heat and in a plastic (acid-free) display file/photo album. {thumb2} I myself have autographs on magazine paper and regular print-out paper, and I store them like this. :) They look great that way and are very safe! :D And yes, as others said, laminating not only decrease the value but could also damage the autograph.

Regards!

the majority of photos/index cards i got signed are either all framed or top loaded(some are on my wall some arent), as long as the items are not in direct sunglight then nothing would happen to the autos.the other stuff like baseballs are in protective cubes and all on display.
