Storing Autographs

Hi everyone.

How do you all store your autographs? As I am just starting and don't know how to store them.

hiy ive put mine in a big picture frame but tonite im getting a display folder thing!!

good luck wid the collecting if ya need help just ask!

I have all mine in a binder so i can look at them whenever.

i have like report slips that you can get at staples and a binder.

I keep mine in a folder with plastic sleeves.

How do I obtain a Certificates of Authenticity for my autographs?

Hi Dave {up}

Occasionally you will be lucky enough to get a letter or note from the celebrity or their agent, and this is basically the nearest you will get to a valid Certificate of Authenticity.

On the whole, unless (like me) you are collecting for charity a celeb will not send you a COA. You only really need a COA if you are planning to sell the autograph, and virtually no celebrity will send you an autograph on that basis.

The final point I would raise is that in reality a COA is practically worthless anyway, as there is nothing to stop anyone making their own.

You are far better off writing a nice letter to the celeb and spending a bit of time on that. You may well get lucky and receive a letter back, and that will be of far greater use to you than a COA.
