Do you ever feel embarrased about collecting autographs?

Never.

I'm proud of them. In Slovenia I don't anyone who would have this hobby so many people are fascinated when I told them about it. I like this hobby and I wouldn't collect if I felt embarrassed about it.

I don't feel embarassed beacuse it's a great hobby! And then it's very contagious beacuse some of my best friends started to collect too!

there's no need to feel that way, if you like it, you do it: simple, without problem
and I'm very happy and proud to have autographs of my fave singer (Anastacia), my fave band (Maroon 5) and all my fave actors and actresses (all my autographs collection!!)

and then it's so much FUN! You ARE HAPPY when the mailman has got a big yellow envelope for you, coming from abroad!!!
and just one autograph from a celebrity you love, can make your day!

i dont think theirs somethign to be embarrased about with being a autograph collector, its just a great hobby. my dad is a autograph collector himself so he understands how great this hobby is.

i do have the same problem as alot of you thou wheir my freinds do not know the majority of peoples autographs ive gotten ip or ttm are. i got bobby thomsons autograph ttm and was so excited and not one of my freinds had a clue who bobby thomson was.

Yes, I am fricking embarassed. I wasn't at first, but then I (being an idiot) thought if I tell people, they would find it cool. No they didn't. I just got beat up for being a sad fool. People can be so heartless. Now I never mention it in school, and when I go to my postbox which is a 5 minute walk away from my house, I have to hide my letters under my top in case anyone sees the name of who I'm writing to. Even my friends think I'm sad. And it is so bad when I get my letters weighed when I am sending abroad. The post office worker always gives me funny looks when I go and get them weighed. One time she just stared at the address/letter for what seemed like a whole minute for no reason. That was so embarassing. At least my family support me. My sister worships my collection, but cannot be arsed to write letters for herself. That's my rant. Your turn.

Aamir you don't have to put up with that buddy {thumb2} Don't let anyone make fun of you for any reason. Kids can be really cruel but they're probably jealous as hell really! You've got a great hobby that you're passionate about and you've got mates on here too! I got so much **** when I was a kid too coz I was in to old movies and singing. The people that bullied me have even told me on facebook that they only did it out of jealousy coz me and my little group of friends always seemed so happy Take no notice of these idiots Aamir, they're probably mean coz it cuts them up that you're better than them {thumb2}

Yes I do get a little embarrassed at times especially when my parents tell there friends it's my hobby and interest but my parents like me collecting they like how I have a hobby that keeps me amused!
I don't like telling other people because I get worried that they might start too! I know thats really sad but I like to be special with this hobby as no one I know does fan mail only people on this site, but when my friends come round they love looking at my wall, and sometimes they spend ages staring and think its amazing how many I have LOL but yeah I can get embarrassed at times...

I totally agree with Sprock Chick. I've never felt embarassed about this hobby. I love it When I told someone that I collect autograph they're shocked and they don't know how it's possible. Some friends very often ask me what I sent recently or what I got
And yeah one autograph can really make your day ;)

my friends and cousins think it's cool and i've sent off requests for some of them and shown others how to, i even got a Steve McFadden autograph for my best friend's mum

the thing i find annoying is trying to explain to people who think they're fake how i know they're not

I'm not embarrased at all. I've met some great people and have a trunkload of great stories to tell. I just don't bore people telling them all of the time. Even people who don't understand it are impressed when I bring out some nice pieces or cast collections.
