Photo Selection ??? Does it make a difference ???
Do you ever wonder if the pictures you choose to send will mean getting a autograph or not from some celebrities. I sometimes think if they dont like the picture you send or think it makes them look bad in some way or maybe if its a female she might not like you sending a picture of her in a bikini or something...I sometimes wonder if picture selection makes a diff with some,anyone else ever think about this ??? It would suck if you managed to get your request to the celebrity and have it tossed over a picture they dont like so im careful about the picture choices i make...

Well, I sometimes think so, but really I think it's not so important. Depend of the celebrity. If she or he is a little silly maybe doesn't like the photo and doesn't sing it. But in general, I think that doesn't happen, with normal photos.

I usually go with the best photos I can find. I don't generally go with ones where they look like they were caught off guard when the photo was taken. And I also have my photos printed professionally so they look good as well. {thumb2}

I don't really have to because I always use normal photos but I do know that there are some female celebrities out there who refuse to sign semi-nude pictures of themselves.johnnylightning wrote:Do you ever wonder if the pictures you choose to send will mean getting a autograph or not from some celebrities. I normally don't worry about it because I send a couple that they can choose from. I'm a little worried about my Christian Bale photos only because the ink that was bought for my printer was bad and smears very easily. (Something I didn't realize until after I'd already sent to him). Other than that, not really...if they don't like the photo they don't have to sign it.johnnylightning wrote:Do you ever wonder if the pictures you choose to send will mean getting a autograph or not from some celebrities. I wouldn't send provocative photo's, unless it's a porn star...

Sometimes they might not like pictures of them in a role they didn't like or are famous for (a typical example - Alan Rickman not signing Harry Potter pics). I hope there're not many of these people, though, at least can't think of anyone else. But it's possible for some stars.

I always go with pictures that look professional,
I usually steer clear of pictures with the star looking in the opposite direction.
Because this points to them not knowing it was taken, and there's more of a chance of them not liking it.
But I'm not sure how much it bothers the stars.

I send to older actors so finding good pictures can be difficult. But I avoid sending pictures that are "leggy" and "showy" as they might not want to be reminded, but I also prefer photos from a film and not a pin up picture.

i also think about photo selection, like ill never send a paparazzi photo( unless its a red carpet photo)because the celebrity's dont like those pictures usually.
i make mini collages a lot of the time(i make them on the computer not by hand btw) and i put a lot of thought into what pictures to include and not include.
