Last requests 09??

is it safe to send out requests on Monday or should I wait till after the new year. Any one have an opinion?

Baseball HOF collection--40 and counting
2011 has been my best year for autographs over 300 in so far

Why wouldn't it be safe to send requests tomorrow?? I don't think it really matters. Are you thinking because of the christmas week or something?

Yes. That's the reason. Because it's christmas week I am not sure if I should send anything out.

Should be fine. I see no reason why we can't. You can always put delivery confirmation on your envelope to let you know that it arrived at the required destination. {up}

I would wait until the new year, seeing how mail gets chaotic this time of year. It's unlikely that your mail would even get to the celebrity any faster if you sent it now, so you might as well play it safe.

I would also wait. {up} There's definetly an increased risk of delays and the possibility of lost/misplaced mail. Plus, there won't be anyone in the offices to accept the mail. The mail, if it gets there, will probably just sit untouched until after the new year. I agree, play it safe. {up}

I actually never thought about this....if you send it tommorow the post office is still open...its not open on christmas eve but you could still send them. When the Post office is closed they dont throw away your mail...it just sits there for a few days...and it does no harm to your envelopes..BUT if you dont wanna send it or you feel worried about that...wait until jan 4th. when the post office re-opens again :)

I sent a few out this morning, but the UK post office only shuts on bank holidays, so probably not too great a problem here! Will now start preparing stuff for the new year!

I sent my last requests of the year out on the 18th as it said on the back of my book of stamps the 18th was the latest you could send it to make it there by Christmas. So atleast I know my requests will have arrived at their destination rather than be sat around until the mail starts again. This whole backlog really worries me and I don't want any of my requests to be caught up in that. I am working on quite a few requests and I am going to wait until about the 2nd week of January before I send them out.
