I'm going to make my frist trip to my hobby lobby store this weekend and look into some of the supplies for my projects like yours, since I'm starting to get back cast signatures.

You know I love my 9x12 pictures i send off, but doing little projects like this are just as fun if not more. Getting to make custom cards and ect. Also using only 2 stamps instead of 5-6 is great too.

I am still doing mine. I have got every thing I sent back signed. Got a few more things to send out. Just one person only sent me a signed picture and didn't sign my custom made card. Also, I bought a signed index card, but the signiture of to big for the custom made card. Can't wait until I finish this.

With regards to signed photos and or sigs to big for the custom card. In some cases I will matte a photo sig behind the matte. When the sig is too big for a custom card. I will make a card a bit bigger to matte with. Not the best solution. But, it can be the only solution.
Here are some examples.....(sorry for the blurriness)

Example #1: Photo matted behind card
I needed Elizabeth Reaser for my daughters Twilight matte. I have never seen anyone have a TTM success from her. And I was not able to find a signed card to purchase. I was able to find a photo that a very reputable dealer was selling. They had two different signed photos. But, what was nice about this photo was that the sig was in a all white area. So it matted easy. Eventually, when I get another sig. I will cover the spot where you can see the photo.



Example #2: Odd item matted behind card
Again, I needed a sig from Anna Kendrick. She also is not a great signer TTM and I no pic I saw would work. They were either way to big or in a very dark area. So when a charity auction site had a sig of her on a cutout heart. I bid and won it and matted it. It's not the best matting. But, its better than nothing.



Example #3: Different size cards.
When doing my Deadwood matte. I found that I needed 3 different size cards. A trading card one. A 3x5 size card and finally a 3x6. This was done for 2 reasons. One to fit the signature I had and second to make the matte cuts fit.

Thanks. I am planning on redoing my Harry Potter matte. I have a bunch more signed cards to add. Plus I am waiting for pics of the new characters from Deathly Hallows so I can send out auto requests. As soon as its done. Will post it here.
