Awesome! I got an amazing reply from her too! Signed all my items and filled out my Q&A card. Later I ended up buying another signed photo and note!! She's an actress I would very much like to meet one day.

I've received personal replies from several Doctor Who actors:

Tom Baker (Doctor 4)-- hand-written note thanking me for my "sweet" letter.

Elisabeth Sladen (Sarah Jane Smith)-- hand-written note explaining why she didn't sign the trading card I sent (but sent a signed postcard of her own).

Anthony Ainley (The Master) -- note on the back of the postcard he sent thanking me for my letter and talking about a Who CD-ROM game he was in.

Roy Skelton (Dalek voice) -- typed letter responding directly to things I talked about in my letter.

Non-Who:
Angus Scrimm (Phantasm) -- wrote me a paragraph on the letter I sent him apologizing for taking so long to respond and for not having not having any "Tall Man" pictures (he sent a surreal photo of he and two cuddly puppies).

Eli Wallach -- hand-written note apologizing for not sketching Mr. Freeze for me (I guess he was asked to do that a lot, but stopped by the time I wrote to him).

Rue McClanahan -- attached a hand-written post-it talking about an upcoming show she was going to be in.

Patty McCormack -- short hand-written note thanking me for my sweet letter and sending regards to my mom (I told her the story of how my mom, when she was pregnant with me, met her in a bank, and she patted my mom's belly).

John Zacherle -- classic horror host from the 50s. Not only did he write me a 2-page letter answering questions I asked him (I was doing a research project for a class in college), he even personally called me and let me interview him for an hour. Man how I wish I had been able to record that call!

Hiroyuki Sakai -- the French chef from the original Japanese Iron Chef. Sent me a typed letter in broken English. Hard to understand but I treasure it.

I wrote twice to Gonzalo Menendez the first time i didn't have a picture to send so i requested one and i got a handwritten page note back as well as a signed and personalized photo. IN the note he mentioned that he had a movie coming out in march. SO my mom and i went to the movie when it came out (12 rounds) and i enjoyed it so i wrote him again this time sending a picture of him as clavo cruz on miami and i got that back signed and personlized as well as another handwritten note. He's a wonderful acter and i hope to see more from him.

I got a two sentence note from Patrick Wayne on the back of his business card (yeah, its got his phone number, email, etc. on it) thanking me for the donation I made to the John Wayne Cancer Institute..he was really very generous with his siggy as he sent me 4.

I got a reply from Michael Berryman (of The Hills Have Eyes fame) just yesterday. He took my letter and wrote on the bottom about 5 sentences about his new film Below Zero. Also very generous, as he sent me 4 signatures as well.

I love that some of these folks are so good to their fans, as opposed to the ones who refuse to simply sign anything for anybody, ever. It really was a thrill to receive both notes, neither one were big A-List stars, but they both made my day.

Totally agree. I think it's great when people do that. It shows just how much they appreciate fans and that they aren't money grabbing with their autograph.

I've had a response from Britney Spears I wrote to her via venue last year and she signed 3 cd covers and wrote a happy birthday message

Corbin Bleu also sent me a Happy Birthday inscribed photo via venue on Broadway

I got a 3x6 notecard written on both sides by Barbara Feldon the other day. She wrote me a message about Get Smart and sent a hello to my family. It was handwritten on her personal stationary (that is, it said Barbara Feldon on top; embossed). I was impressed by this...what does an 80 year old actress care about what a 27 year old fan has to say about a show she did 4 1/2 decades ago? Yet, It was important enough to hand write me a message. I was thrilled to receive this.
