Very good question... Why Travolta?arrowsup wrote:Without considering authenticity I am curious why Travolta posts always degenerate into debates without reason. Travolta has always been a generous signer IP, and he signs alot so his autos aren't valuable -- Why then do people have such passionate opinions on his ttm authenticity?
Many stars of his caliber have successes posted on these boards (Eastwood, De Niro, Redford, Striesand, etc...) and they may generate some debate, but it is short and civil as comapred to the Travolta posts. Does Travolta possess some star quality beyond what I can comprehend, what is it about Travolta that gets people so upset?
Why are all of John Travolta's successes so hotly debated?

Don't know the answer because I haven't looked at the debates, but as far as authenticity, is it possible that he has a stack of pre-signed photos that are sent out, or are people getting personalized messages and/or signed items that they send out?
Just curious.
Just curious.
I've been trying to break into the screenwriting business for 16 years (so far, I have had two screenplays optioned). I'm sending out my Wannabe flyer asking celebrities to autograph it and include an inspirational "Don't Give Up" kind of message on it. http://wannabepride.com/blog/?p=20 The Great Wannabe Autograph Project

I have seen Travolta reply through movie sets, and some of them look very different if you compare them to the TTM's.
Most Recent TTM: Clint Hill - 12/17
Most Recent IP: Ville Leino - 11/14

Yeah I've seen personalised replies. Mine was personalised.Silverscrn wrote:Don't know the answer because I haven't looked at the debates, but as far as authenticity, is it possible that he has a stack of pre-signed photos that are sent out, or are people getting personalized messages and/or signed items that they send out?

Why not? How is it a congratulations when people receive a fake autograph? If nobody is going to stand up and tell these people that they received fake autographs, who is? This is quite funny though. Congrats on your fake autograph, you must be so happy! I mean really, this is an autograph forum, not a forum to help depressed people.arrowsup wrote:here they go again!....its amazing. the very first post questions the authenticity....no congratulations, nothing except "its secretarial...."

The point of my thread is to question why so many people want to express their opinion on Travolta's ttm successes. I am not interested in determing his authenticity, but I am curious as to why so many others are. The Travolta posts generate a great deal of passion on either side and that doesn't happen with other questionable successes (De Niro, Eastwood, and the rest) Why is that?Nicksportsautographs wrote:Why not? People express their opinions on everything, as they should. I really don't see it debated any heavier than another. People don't like to be told their autographs are fake.arrowsup wrote:The point of my thread is to question why so many people want to express their opinion on Travolta's ttm successes.
